Attorney-at-law Harshana Nanayakkara of Jathika Jana Balawegaya (JJB) said that the country is facing the current crisis due to the appointment of a so called ‘war-hero’ and does not need another ‘monkey’ to be appointed as President.
He made this statement while addressing a gathering of JJB held in Kalawewa yesterday (05).
He mentioned that even a chimpanzee in a circus can do such things as walking on poles, climbing trees, and performing dances, and said that it cannot be considered as a qualification to be appointed as President.
“There are many similarities between Premadasas and Rajapaksas. I challenge opposition leader Sajith Premadasa to come to a debate on how to rebuild the country.” Nanayakkara further said.
“He walks distributing buses from the funds collected from friends and colleagues when he cannot even take care of his mother with his own money” Nanayakkara added.
