President Ranil Wickremesinghe instructed officials to commence construction of a cable car project between Pattipola and Boralanda to view Worlds End during the Nuwara Eliya District Development Committee Meeting held yesterday (22).
Special programs are needed to boost tourism in Nuwara Eliya District, President said. He also emphasized that such programs should be implemented in a way as to not to cause any environmental damage.
Meanwhile the President said that a new law to protect the Horton Plains is underway.
