President Anura Kumara Dissanayake Holds Talks with ITAK Parliamentarians

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake engaged in discussions with Members of Parliament from the Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) yesterday (04) at the Presidential Secretariat.

According to the President’s Media Division, ITAK parliamentarians briefed the President on longstanding issues faced by the people in the Northern and Eastern provinces.

The delegation included MPs Sivagnanam Sritharan, Pathmanathan Sathiyalingam, Sanmugam Kugathasan, Shanakiyan Rasamanickam, Gnanamuthu Srinesan, Kaveendiran Kodeeswaran, Ilayathamby Sreenath, and Thurairasa Raviharan.

The discussion marked a significant step towards addressing the challenges experienced by the people in these regions, as highlighted by the ITAK representatives. Further deliberations on actionable solutions are expected in the coming weeks.
