The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) announced that public consultations on the proposed electricity tariff revisions will commence tomorrow (17) and continue until January 8.
Members of the public can submit their opinions and suggestions regarding the proposal to the PUCSL at their office on the 6th floor of the Bank of Ceylon Merchant Tower in Colombo 03, via email at info@pucsl.gov.lk, or through WhatsApp at 076 42 710 30. Feedback can also be submitted in person at the commission’s office or at designated provincial centres.
The proposal, submitted by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), suggests maintaining the current electricity tariffs for the first six months of the new year without any changes. The PUCSL has decided to review this proposal and display it for public feedback.
The commission further stated that the final decision regarding the tariff revision proposal will be announced on January 17, 2024.
