The President of the Public Health Inspectors’ Association Upul Rohana states that steps should be taken to impose an immediate lockdown in order to curb the spread of COVID19 in Sri Lanka.
Rohana says that the lockdown should be imposed for a minimum duration of at least 4 days.
Rohana said that the suggestion in this regard has already been submitted and is expected to be discussed with the President during a special meeting held this afternoon.
In addition to all the divisions involved in the Covid 19 disease control and a team of epidemiologists have also been summoned for the discussion.
